I'm Dhruv — a software engineer, storyteller, and problem solver who cares about the full picture: how a product feels, how the system scales, and everything in between.
I've shipped production software at Samsung R&D — from ultrasound signal processing pipelines to camera app features — and before that built full-stack products at early-stage startups.
I'm also a photographer — I shoot concerts, streets, and wildlife. Every frame is a problem to solve and a story to tell.
Outside of work, you'll find me reading, experimenting with side projects, or thinking too hard about typography.
Good engineering and good photography share the same instinct — knowing what to leave out.
Journey
How I got here.
Enrolled in B.E. Electrical & Electronics Engineering at BITS Pilani — one of India's top engineering schools.
Backend developer at Ved World, building their B2C e-commerce platform from scratch with Node.js, Firebase, Razorpay, and Delhivery integrations.
Built Covid-19 smart report infrastructure — automated report generation and delivery at scale using AWS SES and SQS.
Contributed to an open-source autonomous agricultural cart with computer vision — object detection for field navigation.
Became APOGEE Coordinator of Photography Club at BITS Pilani — ran the club's exhibition, competitions, and workshop track for the annual tech fest.
Software Engineering Intern on the Multimedia Solutions team — researching image view extension using CNNs, Vision Transformers, and GANs.
Completed B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Final project: CNN model for intoxication detection via computer vision, achieving 81.67% accuracy.
Software Engineer on the Multimedia Solutions team. Led the D-Mode ultrasound pipeline (35% GPU performance improvement) and shipped features for the Expert RAW camera app. Received the Samsung Spot Award (2024) for contributions to the ultrasound pipeline, and the Samsung Annual Award for photography club contributions.
Won 3rd prize at Infinity of Photography Exhibition. Co-authored a documentary photobook with The ASX Picture Perfect team. Featured in 2 exhibitions.
